Frontiers

I am currently developing this body of work in my studio at Australian National Capital Artists (ANCA), Canberra. Building on the central concept of my work, ‘memoryscapes’, Frontiers will be a series of grid-based paintings, abstracting photographic prints of photos taken during a journey through Portugal in 2001.

Frontiers is my latest collection based on pre-digital era 35mm photographs taken by me at a time of wonder, exploration and struggle.

Each piece offers a moment of crossing over to future possibilities through the grid as a screen of perception.

Frontiers will be on show at Brunswick Street Gallery, Fitzroy, Melbourne from 22nd August – 8 September 2024.

Live presale opens 5pm Wednesday 21 August 2024.
